Patent Attorney

I am an experienced European Patent Attorney (EPA), UK Chartered Patent Attorney (CPA) and Irish Registered Patent Agent (RPA) and have been in practice for over 16 years.

After qualifying with a primary honour’s degree in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin , I worked as a hardware design engineer in an Irish design services company. I subsequently completed a postgraduate diploma in Applied Computing for Technologists from Dublin Institute of Technology.

Since becoming a Patent Attorney, I have worked with well-known multinationals and start-up technology companies assisting them in the development and management of their IP portfolios.

I have extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in prosecuting patent applications before the European Patent Office (EPO), including representing clients at Oral Proceedings before the EPO on numerous occasions and also advises on patent infringement and validity issues.

I specialise in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the areas of telecommunications, electronics, software, optoelectronics and mechanical engineering.

I am a past member of the Irish Patents Law Committee and tutor for student members of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Agents of Ireland and a fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys.

I was delighted to learn that this year I was nominated by Managing IP, the leading Global source for news and analysis on all IP developments, as a Rising Star for 2018/19.
